If you are going to be a full-time Safari user, I highly recommend the SafariStand plugin for Safari, which adds a few key missing features, like type-ahead find and location bar searching. While you are at it, the Inquisitor search plugin is also fantastic. The former is free, and the latter is cheap.

I’m pretty sure it has something to do with the Mac or the iBook. I have a friend with the same 12″ iBook who’s been having issues too. Still, if Opera can run on a Nintendo DS, there’s no reason Firefox should have trouble on my iBook.

I haven’t noticed gmail giving firefox any trouble on my end. Maybe it’s just a mac thing?
